Gates Capa was first seen serving as a wing-mate for Rosamia Badam while testing out their Baund Doc prototypes at Side 2, with Gates piloting prototype unit one with Loren Nakamoto as the on-board operator. During this test mission, Rosamia runs off with Kamille Bidan into one of the colonies and Gates pursues them, and ends up fighting Kamille up close before having to bring Rosamia back.
