The phony Pokémon interpreters are four characters of the day who appeared in The Poké Spokesman (EP197). They served as the main antagonists of the episode. The fake interpreters were running a fake Pokémon interpreter scam in which they profited off of their fake services. The authorities caught on to their scheme, and Officer Jenny was preparing to arrest Simon, a practicing Pokémon interpreter who appeared to match the police report descriptions.
