Nanase is Yakumo's partner in the final sorcery exam. He is constantly being mistaken as a girl and having guys flirt with him, which he seems to enjoy. Nanase also loathes Zero, for during one those incidents Zero revealed that Nanase was in fact a boy. Thereby losing his popularity with the boys.
