Semashi Nohara is Hiroshi's older brother and Shinnosuke and Himawari's uncle. He works as a farmer and often argues with Hiroshi who looks exactly like him. Later, he starts dating Ikuna Ogano, who is Itsuki and Natsuki's mother, and later marries her. His first appearance was in volume 24 of the manga.
