Iijima Ritsu is the central character of Hyakkiyakou Shou/Selected Pandemonium. He has the ability to perceive the supernatural, inherited from his grandfather, Iijima Ryou (pen name: Iijima Kagyuu), a novelist who wrote about his own supernatural experiences. Ritsu was dressed as a girl as a small child in order to ward off evil, as per his grandfather's wishes.
