Palutena, also known as "Lady Palutena," is the Goddess of Light, rightful ruler of Angel Land and patron deity of and older-sister figure to Pit. She is kind-hearted and benevolent, as opposed to the cruel and malevolent Medusa. Despite being a divine goddess, Palutena also seems to be somewhat of a damsel-in-distress, as she was kidnapped and held captive by Medusa and needed to be rescued.
